Thank you for choosing me as your photographer. These guidelines are here to make sure we’re both on the same page and that everything runs smoothly. By paying your booking deposit, you’re confirming that you’ve read and agreed to these terms.

BOOKING & PAYMENT
A non-refundable booking deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. Your session is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session. Nothing will be delivered, including previews, until payment is made in full. The remaining balance is non-refundable once the session has taken place. This covers your session time and preparation. Prints and products must be paid in full before they are ordered.

IMAGE SELECTION SESSION (PROOFING GALLERY)
This applies to sessions where you select your favourite images rather than receiving the full gallery.
After your session, your online proofing gallery will be ready within up to 3 weeks. You’ll have 2 weeks to view your gallery and make your selections. All images will be watermarked.
If selections are not made within this timeframe, the gallery may be closed. Reopening will be subject to a £25 reactivation fee and availability.
Once selections are made or a gallery upgrade is purchased, final images will be delivered within 2 working days. Any additional edit requests may extend this timeframe.
If the gallery is not selected or reopened within the given timeframe, a curated selection of images based on the purchased package may be delivered at the photographer’s discretion. This is a final selection.

ALL-INCLUSIVE SESSION
This applies to sessions where the full gallery is included in the price and no image selection is required.
After your session, your online gallery will be ready within up to 3 weeks. Your full edited gallery will be delivered ready to download and share. Images are delivered without watermarks.

FINAL GALLERY
Whether you have an all-inclusive session or a selection-based session, you will receive a final online gallery with your fully edited images.
All images are delivered as high-resolution JPEG files (minimum 4000px on the long edge). RAW and unedited files are not provided. You will also have the option to download smaller web-size images, perfect for sharing online.
Your final gallery will be live for one month. Please download and back up your images to at least two separate locations during this time. I strongly recommend doing this immediately. I do not guarantee storage beyond one month and cannot be responsible for lost files after this time.
After this period, galleries are not guaranteed to be available. However, where possible, I may be able to reopen galleries for a £25 reactivation fee, subject to availability.

EDITING & RETOUCHING
My work is natural and relaxed, with carefully considered editing that has a soft, film-inspired feel. I do not provide heavily stylised or overly retouched images.
I put a lot of care into every image and only deliver work I’m proud of. Editing style, final image selection, and all post-production decisions remain at my discretion to ensure consistency with my portfolio and artistic style.
Standard retouching is included, covering light blemishes, bruises and scratches. Complex edits such as body shaping, hair colour changes, removal of permanent features (including laugh lines) or extensive retouching are not included, and I reserve the right to decline specific edit requests.
By booking, you confirm that you have reviewed my portfolio, are familiar with my editing style, and understand that your final images will reflect this style.

YOUR IMAGES
Your images are for personal, non-commercial use only. Please do not edit, crop, apply filters, or remove watermarks from any delivered images. For commercial use, separate terms will be agreed. Copyright remains with me at all times.
By default, I may use images from your session for my portfolio, website, and social media. If you would prefer your images to remain private, please let me know before your session and I will fully respect that.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
If you cancel your session for any reason, your booking deposit is non-refundable as it covers the date and time reserved for you.
Newcastle & Surrounding Areas
You may reschedule up to 48 hours before your session time. Weather-related reschedules (due to unsafe or unsuitable conditions) will not count towards your reschedule allowance. One free reschedule is available within a three-month window. After that, a new deposit will be required to secure a new date. No-shows will result in the loss of the deposit.
Edinburgh, London & Other Travel Sessions
As travel and accommodation are booked in advance, rescheduling must be requested at least 3 weeks before your session. Any travel or accommodation costs already incurred at that point are non-refundable and will be charged to the client, regardless of the reason, including severe weather.
If I need to reschedule due to illness or circumstances beyond my control, I will give as much notice as possible and no additional charges will be passed on to you.

RE-SHOOTS & REFUNDS
I genuinely want you to love your photos. However, re-shoots and refunds cannot be offered for circumstances outside my control, including clothing choices, hair, makeup, child behaviour, weather conditions, or not following guidance during the session.
If images are lost or damaged before delivery, I will refund all payments made. Once your gallery has been delivered, images are non-refundable. Products cannot be refunded or exchanged.

SESSION
A great session is a shared experience and I will guide you throughout to keep things relaxed and natural. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals may result in a shorter session.
I create a calm and enjoyable environment and ask that everyone is respectful and open to guidance during the session. If a session becomes unworkable due to unsafe, uncooperative, or disrespectful behaviour, I reserve the right to end it without a refund.
All participants take part at their own risk. You are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and any children in your care during the session.

LIABILITY
I take great care with your images, however I am not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond my control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, equipment failure, severe weather, travel disruption, or government restrictions.
My total liability is limited to the amount paid for the session in all circumstances. If I am unable to fulfil our agreement, I will offer to reschedule at no extra cost or provide a full refund.

COMPLAINTS
If something isn’t right, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your gallery and I will do my best to resolve it. After this period, I am unable to offer corrections, re-edits, or re-shoots.

Colour accuracy and quality can only be guaranteed for prints ordered through me. All products are priced at the current rate at the time of ordering. Prices are subject to change without notice.
